I love this time of year, when all the pretty little primula are for sale everywhere! They’re just the thing to brighten up a dull day with their beautiful colours.
I couldn’t resist these this morning when at the greengrocers to buy my fruit and veg. I’m looking forward to tidying up my window boxes and pots and getting them all planted.
It’s no secret how much I adore flowers and how inspiring I find them. I just couldn’t resist having a go at making my own crochet primula……..
Just before I go I want to thank the lovely Susana of La Ventana Azul for awarding me the Versatile Blogger Award. Susana is very fortunate to live in Barcelona one of my favourite places. Thank you, I appreciate your kindness.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. I hope for those of you with snow it warms up a bit, we’ve had 10 degrees here today, so no complaints from me!
Thanks as always for visiting and your lovely comments.
Happy weekend!

They are such pretty plants Vivienne and fill the gap nicely at this time of year. Enjoy planting them up. You really are basking in the good weather at the moment…it’s just about freezing at the moment and due to plummet to -4oc tonight. We had more snow last night and more is forecast overnight. We are off to meet friends for a Chinese soon so I am wrapping up warm. Have a lovely weekend.

Dear Vivienne,
I would be hard pressed to decide which I find prettier; nature’s primula or your handmade delights.
Isn’t wonderful to see the colours coming back? I adore this time of year when it’s ALL about to start… soon!
Have a beautiful weekend planting your window boxes.

Aren’t Primulas such pretty things. I have some white ones that were given to me to perk up after a friend who has the opposite of green fingers nearly killed them. They’re really cheering me up, so a windowbox full would have me grinning away

I agree, primulas are so pretty and provide such a welcome show of colour at this time of year…love your little crochet creations too…so pretty!
Still very cold in my corner Vivienne…
Hope you have a lovely weekend,

Hi Vivienne, I want to come over there for some warmth or at least some plus degree temperatures, maybe that’s why I want to move from east to west to appreciate that Atlantic warming!
The colours of your primulas are warming and I love the crochet ones.
Have a good weekend x

It looks very spring-like here, difficult to believe it’s below freezing outside.
Keep warm Vivienne

I love primulas too, especially when they are all massed together. Your window boxes will look gorgeous, Vivienne! Love the little crochet flowers too, how pretty they are and useful for all sorts of projects. It is slightly warmer here today, I’m glad to say, though not as balmy as where you are! Have a happy week ahead.

Good morning Vivienne! You do make me smile and cheer up a rather grey sky :0) How do you do it? You seem to be able to crochet ANY flower that comes along! That is really lovely, I wonder if you make a crochet flower garden with them all once you have made a few?
My Bella Bag’s Blog is closing down soon so please would you add
http://sunshineattic.wordpress.com
and pop over and visit as usual :0) That would be so good!
I always tell Bella that you have called and pass on your pat or kisses!
Have a wonderful week Vivienne,
