Now this isn’t a post about the 1995 Oasis album, no this post is about my efforts to grow a Morning Glory in my garden.
For three years I have tried without success, they just would not grow for me and if they did they didn’t survive.
However, I’m delighted to announce that this morning my Morning Glory which I grew from seed has bloomed!!
I took very good care of it, kept it in the greenhouse until the last moment before taking it out and I have been rewarded with my plant producing gorgeous purple flowers.
Some of you are probably saying to yourselves, what she on about I grow them all the time but for me it didn’t work, not until today!

A real beauty Vivienne…I bought one at the garden centre earlier this year and it seems happy growing amongst the ivy in my raised bed. I think it has thrived on lots of rain!!! Well done you growing it from seed! The weather does really look on the up, have a wonderful weekend,

I grew some blue Morning Glory from seed many years ago over an arbour in the garden. They were so pretty but I didn’t realise that they were called Morning Glory because they only last a morning!!!
The flowers should be prolific though so enjoy them whilst you can!

I don’t know how it is where you live but moring glories are a real pain in Philadelphia. They reseed themselves like crazy, then take over and you can never get rid of them. I hope it’s different for you because they are sweet flowers.

I adore Morning Glories too. In the States they seem to have a problem with them, but that could never happen here. I find that I am most successful with them if I put them out in good weather and as a really established plant.

Wow…gorgeous morning glory…I am a bit behind on your posts but didn’t want to miss this out! I adore morning glories! I also love the title you used for this post….my girls used to play that album such a lot
