Just popping in to share the last of my bunnies for the month.
This little one has been named Poppy.

This bunny has been crocheted in strawberry coloured yarn with a chocolate cardigan fastened with a triple scoop cone, she has a vanilla ribbon with a pistachio button in her ear…….I’m sure you’ve worked out the ice-cream connection, her name is Sundae!
Poppy and Sundae will be joining all the other ‘July Girls’ in my Etsy shop today (Thursday 31st).

Marieta, Honey and Virginia will be listed at 10.00am (BST) and Sundae, Marigold and Poppy at 10.00pm (BST).
Happy Thursday! 🙂

I think my favourite colour in the garden is orange, whether it’s a sunny day or a rainy day the one colour that really stands out is orange.
I have had quite a few orange flowers this summer…lilies, geums, nasturtiums and pretty little marigolds.

So vibrant!

Of course as is nearly always the case I like to turn them into bunny versions.

Say hello to Marigold!
Happy new week. 🙂

There is so much colour in the garden at the moment, it’s a joy to be out there in it, I’m going to miss these days when they are gone!

I found this little chap in my garage, he was exhausted, so I made him up some sugar syrup and after a long drink, a little rest and a wash, he flew off a happy little bee again.
And just to prove that all the colours of the rainbow are blooming in my garden at the moment, I made this little collage from some my photos!

Thanks so much for dropping by and for leaving such lovely comments!
Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead and fingers crossed for a continuation of our amazing UK weather! 🙂
July 20, 2014

It’s been a while since I’ve shown any bunnies on my blog so I thought it was time for a little catch up but before the bunnies a little posy of flowers from the garden, looking pretty in my kitchen at the moment.

As you know I don’t do bunny commissions, I only make to stock my shop but occasionally I make bunnies for personal reasons and this month I have made two, Pearl and Elizabeth, who I can now show you as they are now in their new homes.

I have also been making my ‘July Girls’ and have three ready for my shop update, from left I would like to introduce you to, Marieta (which means ladybird in Catalan), Honey (who’s name needs no explanation) and Virginia (named after the little wild virginia strawberry).

I do hope to have some more ready before the end of July when they will all be listed in my Etsy shop.

Thanks for all your visits and comments on my recent posts, it’s always lovely to hear from you and I’m glad you enjoyed a little trip around some of Northern Ireland with me.
Wishing you all a happy new week! 🙂

We’ve had some lovely days out during my Hb’s time off work!
There have been visits to parks, woods, the seaside, gardens, mountains and canal tow paths.
We’ve played in mazes and with sun dials (I liked the human one best), we’ve looked down on the city from on high and over the sea towards Scotland, we’ve walked through trees, up mountains, beside rivers and canals and the sea. We’ve had lovely meals out, picnics and ice creams, there has been sunshine and showers but most of all we’ve taken time to smell the roses (and other flowers too)!

I wish it could be summer all the time!!! 🙂

On one of our days out this week we visited Rowallane Garden a Natioanl Trust property in County Down.
I thought you might like to take a stroll with me, bring your umbrella though as unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind!

Despite the weather we had a lovely walk around the gardens, the walled garden is particularly beautiful!

We also had the company of this little chap (photo thanks to my Hb with his many lens!!) who seemed very pleased that someone had turned up on a damp day, he was a very good tour guide, he knew all the best perches and places to shelter from the rain!
Thanks again for visiting and for all your comments on my last post.
Have a lovely day (sunshine has been restored here)! 🙂
July 7, 2014

At this time of the year my husband always takes some time off work, it’s a stay at home holiday with lots of days out and about.
On Saturday past we had a lovely picnic in a country lane among honeysuckle and wild roses and then visited the lovely Antrim Castle Gardens, a favourite of ours, which we enjoyed in a mixture of sunshine and showers.

We have another nine days stretching out in front of us with lots of little outings planned, fingers crossed for lots of sunshine! 🙂
