I think my favourite colour in the garden is orange, whether it’s a sunny day or a rainy day the one colour that really stands out is orange.
I have had quite a few orange flowers this summer…lilies, geums, nasturtiums and pretty little marigolds.
So vibrant!
Of course as is nearly always the case I like to turn them into bunny versions.
Say hello to Marigold!
Happy new week. 🙂

Oranges are wonderful in the garden aren’t they? Like you I love the marigolds, especially the Bunny version – adorable! I love how you’ve chose a dress fabric with grey background to compliment her bunny colour!
I have crocosmia out at the moment which is very distinctive and draws the eye, and I love it offset with my favourite garden colours, all shades of blues and purples.
Have a great week Vivienne!

What a wonderful surprise to see the lovely orange flowers today. I was at a quilt store on Saturday and couldn’t resist a 20 piece fat quarter bundle called Raspberry Lemonade. It has all shades of light raspberry progressing to light orange/yellow. The fabrics are batiks, which I have just begun using in the past several years. Beautiful little Marigold has all the shades in my bundle minus the grey. You are very “tuned into” Nature as you create what you see around you. What a talent! Thank you for sharing. – Robin Elaine

so gorgeous in orange.
Marigolds are so easy to grow.
Like the white version also : vanilla marigolds.
I like every details you put on your bunnies.

Hi Vivienne your flower and bunny marigolds are stunning. I do love the colours you have used…orange is not a favourite colour of mine but in the garden it’s a stunner. It just shouts summer. I hope you are enjoying your time outside, have a lovely week my friend xx

Love that vibrant orange! And the sweet bunny. I planted two marigolds and I’m afraid to say….they did not survive the slugs. So sad. But my lavender and many others are thriving, so I am content, I’m glad I can enjoy marigolds here with you:) xo Karen

I planted quite a few in my garden, the next day I just had a few stubby bits of gnarled stems left – something had had a Marigold Feast! xx
