November 2014

Robin Collage

It really is hard to believe that another month has almost passed and that the time has come for another bunny sale!

This month has been all about the ‘Christmas Girls’.

First one up is Robin who has been given her name for very obvious reasons!

Snowflake Collage

This is Snowflake, all dressed in icy blue, white and silver! Not sure if you can see it or not but her cardie has a little silver thread running through it. Snowflake likes a bit of sparkle!

Christmas Carol Collage

Next is Christmas Carol, who is a little songster, there is nothing Carol likes better than a little festive singing.

Spruce Collage

This little evergreen girl is Spruce complete with her own little fir cone button.!

Mitzi Collage

This is Mitzi and she is all about the mittens, they’re everywhere.

Argenta Collage

Next is Argenta and as her name suggests she is a silvery girl with her silver bow, silver holly all over her skirt and a silver thread running through her fluffy cardigan! Argenta looks like she has been photographed in black and white but no this is her in full colour.

Gretel Collage

With all the gingerbread men on this little one she could only be named Gretel, she has a little fur collar on her cardie, an absolute essential for any visit to any forest at this time of year!

The ‘Christmas Girls’ will be for sale in my Etsy shop tomorrow, Wednesday 26th November at 10.00pm GMT. You can, if you wish, find out more about my bunnies, here.

Thanks as always for dropping by and for your lovely comments, have a good week! 🙂

My post today is a bit like an episode of Sesame Street, as it’s brought to you by the colour orange.

It’s another dull start to the week so I’ve been seeking out a little cheering colour and there is none more cheerful than the colour orange.

I have mentioned before how much I love orange flowers in the garden and there are still a few out there shining like little jewels. The weather has been so mild with no frost yet at all so the nasturtiums are still blooming their little hearts out and my window boxes are doing well too!

I also have a lovely bunch of peachy orange peruvian lilies on my dining room table, I do love fresh flowers in the house at all times.

The contents of my craft basket have an orangey tint at the moment and my long time work-in-progress autumn blanket also has its hint of orange (really must finish it)!

Even part of my lunch is orange today, I didn’t need the spoon to eat the orange, it’s part of a set that I brought back from France and I just thought it looked good, artistic license!!! 😉

I’m actually wearing an orange scarf today as well but sorry no selfies!

It’s only 34 days until the shortest day and 45 days until pre-spring, the brighter days are coming and I’m just doing what I can to get myself there!

Have a great week! 🙂

Oh my goodness, today is one of those days that reminds me why I do not like this time of year, I really don’t think it got light at all today, roll on pre-spring!!!

I have received some happy mail recently and I thought I would share it today to try and brighten your day and mine!

First up some beautiful sunflower cards sent to me all the way from Australia from my lovely Facebook friend Terry of Terry Cards. So very thoughful and so very welcome. Terry does all her own photography, you can find her on Facebook here where she shares her lovely images. Thanks Terry, sunflowers are my favourite flowers and just the tonic for a grey day.

I have shared some of Beth’s from The Linen Cat’s gorgeous makes here before, I do love her creations. When she posted these lovely birds on her blog recently, I just had to have one. Beth’s packages are always lovely to receive. You can find her fabulous work here and here.

Now another lovely package which was a joy to receive was this one from Debbie of The Crimson Rabbit. I ordered the little blue rabbit star for my daughter and the red one for me, amazing, aren’t they!! You can also find Debbie on Etsy and Facebook. Do check out Debbie’s shop to see her beautiful creations!

This is little Monty Mouse the creation of Sue McLearie of Paws by Sue McLearie. I first spotted him on Sue’s Facebook page and knew I had to have him.

Monty has been printed on to a transparent sticker so that you can place him wherever you want.

DSCN2810

And here he is happily living in the skirting board in my craft room! Cute or what!

So hopefully I have provided you with some new places to visit and maybe tempt you away from your pennies, it happens to me all the time.

So what have I spent this dismal day doing?

DSCN2822

Well I have baked some wheaten bread and cinnamon roll scones ( recipe can be found here).

DSCN2829

And I have also been making my ‘Christmas Girls’, excuse the photo, blame the grimness!!!

Have a great week, fingers crossed for some more brightness!

Thanks as always for dropping in. 🙂

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Summer is still hanging on in my garden, bless it.

You can see by the poor drenched sweet pea though that we had quite heavy rain last night!

DSCN2780

The cosmos continues to bloom and it looked beautiful in the morning sunshine.

DSCN2783

I just hope these little cosmos buds get to open before the first frosts!

DSCN2785

There are still nasturtiums………………

DSCN2787

……………..and fuschias!

DSCN2782

However there are many signs of autumn, most of the leaves are now off the trees.

DSCN2786

There are lots of berries!

DSCN2779

And most of the Black-Eyed Susan’s are now just black eyes!

DSCN2788

Summer bedding is making way for autumn flowering plants!

DSCN2789

Inside, the dresser in my craft room has a little autumnal display but…..
