Happy Winter Solstice!
It’s no secret how much I love and look forward to this day, probably from about the end of September, truth be told! I feel the worst is over, now I know we may have lots of poor weather to come but it’s all about the light, the light is coming back and that feels so good. Tomorrow even though we won’t even notice it will have slightly more daylight than today and that is a wonderful thought.
I had a walk around the garden this week and even in depths of December there is colour out there but more importantly there is so much hope in the form of bulbs and buds, just bring it on!!!
However I’m not so caught up in pre-spring that I’m overlooking Christmas, it is of course happening here at GRD HQ. My son is home from Berlin this evening and along with my daughter and son-in-law we’ll have a lovely festive week together as a family.
I’d like to thank you all for visiting me here this year, it is always lovely to have you stop by and leave your wonderful comments, which are always appreciated.
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas with those you love!
See you all in pre-spring! 🙂

I don’t just make bunnies, I buy and collect them too and I thought today I’d share a couple of them with you that have arrived here recently.
This first one is Olaf and he has been made by Julie of Little Cotton Rabbits. Julie makes the most amazing little creatures and I have to say I was very lucky to snap Olaf up as they are very hard to get hold off. She also sells patterns of her little animals too which can be found in her Etsy shop.
This little cutie is Agnes and she has been made by my lovely friend Mia. She comes complete with her own knitting and a little stocking to hang up for Father Christmas. You can find all Mia’s wonderful felted creations in her Etsy shop.
So what can I say bunnies arrive here as quickly as they leave!!
Can you believe that December is half way through already, winter is almost over!! 😉
Wishing you all a lovely new week!

My own little versions of the spice girls are my last three bunnies for 2014 bringing the total of rabbits this year to 81!!
So firstly let me introduce to Nutmeg.
This is Ginger.
And the final little spice girl and bunny for 2014 is Cinnamon!
All three of them will be available in my Etsy shop tonight (Wednesday 10th December) at 10.00pm (GMT).
Thank you all so much for the wonderful support and encouragement you have given my bunny making this year and I’m certainly looking forward to more bunnying next year.
Happy Wednesday! 🙂

According to the Green Rabbit calendar and the grim weather forecast, winter has arrived!!!
Thank goodness it only lasts for one month (again according to the Green Rabbit calendar)!!
It’s not only the beginning of winter but the beginning of December and the start of Advent too. If all goes to plan I’m putting up my Christmas trees this evening (yes there are more than one, I’m not as baa humbug as I might seem sometimes)!
I am however counting down the days until the winter solstice (just 20 days) and pre-spring (just 31 days)!!
The little bunny above has been named Winter and she has a very wintery scene on her dress. Winter is a giveaway prize on my Facebook page at the moment. A little while ago I promised that when my page reached 3000 likes I would have a bunny giveaway, well this has now happened and so Winter is up for grabs. I thought I would let my blog friends know about it too, you are all very welcome to go over there if you’re on Facebook and leave me a comment, I’m afraid I can’t take entries here on the blog as it is a Facebook giveaway but please go over and join in.
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last post, all the ‘Christmas Girls’ have now left for their new homes!
I’d like to wish you all a happy December, winter, Advent and new week!! 🙂
