Can you believe we’re almost at the end of November?? I can’t!

The weather has turned a little more grim with grey, damp, chilly days but thankfully we still get the odd beautiful bright and sunny albeit fresh late autumn day.

The little cyclamen above are blooming away in my window boxes and are a blast of colour on those grey days.

The garden has more less shut down for the winter and I have removed, cut back and tucked away in the greenhouse for the winter quite a lot of plants.

There are though little dots of colour throughout the borders and pots.

Seven Skeins 1 Collage

Not spending as much time in the garden has meant that I’ve had more time to spend on knitting.

During the past few weeks I’ve been taking part in the Kate Davies Designs Seven Skeins Club using Kate’s gorgeous new yarn Buachaille.

The club involved knitting up seven patterns using the seven different shades of Buachaille, the yarn arrived with a lovely tote bag and each week a secret pattern arrived in my inbox.

There is also a lovely book, Buachaille: At Home in the Highlands, arriving in the next couple of weeks too and I believe it will be on general release shortly after that as will the beautiful yarn.

If you count the projects above you’ll see there are only six, number seven arrives this weekend, I’m going to miss my email from Kate every Friday morning!!

Merry Collage

Of course I’ve been making my animals during the month too and believe it or not all the ‘Christmas Girls’ are finished!!

All six of the ‘Christmas Girls’ will be listed in my Etsy shop tomorrow evening, Wednesday 25th November at 10pm (GMT). Please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years of age. You can find out more details about them here.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my giveaway bunny, Neva, in my last post, Neva was won by Louise Andrews over on Facebook.

So not many days left of November and then we are into December and winter but don’t worry winter only lasts for one month in the Green Rabbit calendar, so it won’t last long!

It’s only 28 days until the Winter Solstice and then the days will be getting longer again! Wonderful!

Just before I go I would like to wish all my lovely friends in the U.S.A. a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

According to the Green Rabbit Calendar October is the first month of autumn and it started in true Keats style!

The misty chilly mornings have led to beautiful sunny days and on the whole it has been a lovely month with lots of outside time.

Autumn Sunday 4th Oct

We have enjoyed some lovely autumn walks!

DSCN4225

Time has been spent in the garden too, where the roses are still in bloom.

Oct 13th garden Collage

It is so good having so much colour in the garden at this late stage of the year, long may it continue!

DSCN4274

I’ve been painting tins again, I just love doing these, especially searching for the vintage images.

DSCN4216

This one was photobombed by the lovely Lily!!

DSCN4273

Of course there has been lots of animal making during the month too with the arrival of my first hare called Harlow which means ‘meadow of the hares’ joined here by a little brown dutch rabbit called Acorn!

DSCN4297

This is Glade in her little owl dress and a little autumn mouse called Maple.

DSCN4333

These two are Copper and Flame, enjoying some autumn sunshine in the garden.

DSCN4335

The final ‘Autumn Girl’ is a little Halloween pumpkin girl called Octavia!

Normally I show my girls in their collage photos but as I always put them on my Bunnies & Friends page too I have decided there was no need to duplicate this on the blog, if you would like to see the detailed collages please click here.

The ‘Autumn Girls’ will be listed in my Etsy shop this evening (Monday 26th Oct) at 10pm (GMT). Please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years of age. You can find out more details about them here.

So here we are into the last week of October, enjoy what’s left of this month, have a fun Halloween and a lovely start to November! 🙂

Nice to still have lots of colour in the garden and thankfully still plenty of sunshine to enjoy it too!

Hortensia Collage

So as another month comes to an end it’s time for a round up of this month’s animals.

The first ‘September Girl’ is Hortensia.

Hortensia is another name for hydrangea and this little bunny is a celebration of those beautfiul blooms.

Sapphire Collage

If you’re born during the month of September, like me, your birthstone is the sapphire and this little one with all her deep blues is of course Sapphire!

Xanthe Collage

The crossover time between summer and autumn is the time of year for chrysanthemums and Xanthe’s dress is covered in them!

Her name comes from ancient Greek and means ‘golden one’, which of course she is.

Orchard Collage

This is Orchard!

It’s definitely an apple time of year and Orchard has a little tree fastening her cardie and lots of red apples all over her dress.

Maizie Collage

Maizie is a little harvest mouse and her dress is a little harvest festival all on it’s own.

Ffion Collage

And last but by no means least this is Ffion, my first Green Rabbit fox.

Her name is Welsh and means ‘foxglove’.

All six of the ‘September Girls’ will be listed in my Etsy shop on Wednesday 30th September at 10pm (BST).

More details about them can be found here, please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years.

So that’s another month done and dusted, enjoy what’s left of September and have a lovely October, it’s definitely autumn now according to the Green Rabbit Calendar! 🙂

Sweet Pea Collage

Although we’re not quite at the end of the month yet, we are at the end of another Green Rabbit month, so I thought that today I’d introduce you to the ‘August Girls’.

Inspired by the beautiful sweet peas in my garden which are still gifting me with lots of posies, my first girl is of course Sweet Pea.

Dahlia Collage

I found this lovely fabric when out shopping and it was the inspiration behind Dahlia.

I do have some dahlias in my garden but keeping them going is a constant battle between me and the slugs and their friends, the snails!!

Morello Collage

The second Green Rabbit mouse and third ‘August Girl’ is a big fan of cherries, hence her name…..Morello!

Madeleine Collage

If you live in the UK, you couldn’t have failed to notice, whether you’re a fan or not, that the ‘Great British Bake Off’ is on our screens again.

Madeleine (named after a cake, of course) is a big fan of the the show, just look at her ‘showstopper bake’ button!!

Cornflower Collage

This is Cornflower and once again I have taken inspiration from my garden for this little one.

I have lots of lovely cornflowers in bloom at the moment, I adore that blue and I have to admit that Cornflower is my personal favourite this month!

Milly Collage

The final ‘August Girl’ is another little mouse called Milly.

You may remember Molly my first mouse from last month, well this is her cousin Milly and I’m afraid it must run in the family as like Molly, Milly too is a chocholic!! 😉

So that’s it for another month, quite a mix this month, one dutch bunny, one lop, two mice and two original GRD bunnies, which, by the way, are still my favourites to make.

All of the ‘August Girls’ will be listed in my Etsy shop tomorrow evening, Wednesday 26th August at 10pm (BST).

More details about them can be found here, please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, enjoy the rest of your week and what’s left of August! 🙂

Molly is a bit of a chocoholic (like me!!), she has a delicious button fastening her chocolate brown cardigan that looks almost good enough to eat!!

All of the July Girls will be listed in my Etsy shop tomorrow evening, Wed 29th July at 10pm (BST).

More details about them can be found here, please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years.
