Can you believe we’re almost at the end of November?? I can’t!
The weather has turned a little more grim with grey, damp, chilly days but thankfully we still get the odd beautiful bright and sunny albeit fresh late autumn day.
The little cyclamen above are blooming away in my window boxes and are a blast of colour on those grey days.
The garden has more less shut down for the winter and I have removed, cut back and tucked away in the greenhouse for the winter quite a lot of plants.
There are though little dots of colour throughout the borders and pots.
Not spending as much time in the garden has meant that I’ve had more time to spend on knitting.
During the past few weeks I’ve been taking part in the Kate Davies Designs Seven Skeins Club using Kate’s gorgeous new yarn Buachaille.
The club involved knitting up seven patterns using the seven different shades of Buachaille, the yarn arrived with a lovely tote bag and each week a secret pattern arrived in my inbox.
There is also a lovely book, Buachaille: At Home in the Highlands, arriving in the next couple of weeks too and I believe it will be on general release shortly after that as will the beautiful yarn.
If you count the projects above you’ll see there are only six, number seven arrives this weekend, I’m going to miss my email from Kate every Friday morning!!
Of course I’ve been making my animals during the month too and believe it or not all the ‘Christmas Girls’ are finished!!
All six of the ‘Christmas Girls’ will be listed in my Etsy shop tomorrow evening, Wednesday 25th November at 10pm (GMT). Please remember they are collectible items only and not suitable for children under 14 years of age. You can find out more details about them here.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my giveaway bunny, Neva, in my last post, Neva was won by Louise Andrews over on Facebook.
So not many days left of November and then we are into December and winter but don’t worry winter only lasts for one month in the Green Rabbit calendar, so it won’t last long!
It’s only 28 days until the Winter Solstice and then the days will be getting longer again! Wonderful!
Just before I go I would like to wish all my lovely friends in the U.S.A. a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
